Svetlana Aladjem - Managing Partner
Svetlana
has more than 18 years of experience in communications, media and training;
the last 10 of which were in the field of biodiversity conservation and
protected areas management. Prior to co-founding EcoLogic Consultancy,
she was a Communications and Environmental Education Specialist for the
Biodiversity Conservation and Economic Growth Project funded by USAID
(2000-2004) and a Media Relations Consultant for the same Project (1996-2003).
She also worked in the Central Bulgarian Press for more than 10 years.
Svetlana's work included: Management of projects, budgets and teams;
development and implementation of public awareness strategies and campaign
plans; coordination of public events and fundraising campaigns; planning
and running working meetings, press-conferences and presentations; development
of messages; writing and editing all types of informational and public
awareness materials; development of concepts, scripts, texts; supervising
the production of websites, multi-media CDs, documentary films, mass media
advertisements, books, and manuals; assessment of training needs and the
development of programs to carry out necessary training.
Svetlana continues to work in the same areas with clients from Governmental
institutions, the private sector and non-governmental organizations, as
well as managing the operations of the firm.
Degrees: Bulgarian Language and Literature (Sofia University) and Psychology
(Sofia University).

Dimitrina Boteva - Partner and Biodiversity Program Coordinator
With
her excellent contacts among natural science circles and nature protection
institutions and organizations in Bulgaria and Greece, Dimitrina makes
for a perfect coordinator of biodiversity conservation tasks and supervisor
of expert teams.
Before co-founding EcoLogic Consultancy, she was focusing on protected
areas management planning and biodiversity conservation, and more concretely
on: Habitat classification and conservation value assessments; GPS field
data collection and mapping; GIS application and map preparation for the
NATURA 2000 network establishment in Greece; floristic and phytosociological
studies; vegetation classification and mapping; and medicinal plant resources
assessment.
As a Biodiversity Specialist for the Biodiversity Conservation and Economic
Growth Project funded by USAID (2000-2004), she was responsible for the
completion of the Rila and Central Balkan National Park management plans
and the development of the Rila Monastery Nature Park management plan;
as well as for the establishment of an ecological monitoring system for
the Bulgarian national parks and the necessary training of the parks'
staff.
Degrees: Biology (Sofia University) and Environmental Management (Mediterranean
Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece).

Vladimir Galabov – Communications, Stakeholders Involvment
and Bulgarian Culture Training Program Coordinator
Vladimir
has extensive experience in journalism, having worked more than fifteen
years for daily newspapers, Bulgarian National Radio – Horizon Channel,
Bulgarian National TV and the BBC World Service – London (Bulgarian
Service). In the last six years, he uses his broad political and social
knowledge and skills in the non-profit sector. He worked as a communication
officer in the USAID funded Democracy Network Program, Community Foundations
and Social Enterprises (Counterpart International Program of USAID through
Bulgarian non-profit 3NET Association;) three EU Phare Technical Assistance
Projects between 2004-2006 designed for social, labor market, community,
ethnic groups problems and sustainable development issues.
Vladimir’s work included: news preparation, editing and presentation
of news bulletins and programs; political and economic analysis and commentaries;
documentaries script-writing and production; organization of special events;
fundraising and public awareness campaigns planning and execution; media
strategies and campaigns planning and execution; website concept and text
development; intercultural training program development and execution;
community development programs design and implementation; press tours
organization and support for foreign media visits to Bulgaria resulting
in development of articles and broadcasts about the country.
